• Phone number (for OTP authentication)
• Profile photo (optional, for virtual try-on feature)
• Photos of clothing items you upload
• Outfit preferences and style choices provided during onboarding

Information collected automatically:

• Device type, operating system, and app version
• App usage data and feature interactions
• Crash logs and performance data
• IP address and approximate location (city-level, for weather-based suggestions)

Information from third parties:

• Authentication data from Google (if you sign in with Google via Clerk)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the Styrae service
• Generate AI-powered outfit suggestions personalized to your wardrobe
• Power the virtual try-on feature
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, waitlist updates)
• Analyze app usage to improve features
• Provide weather-based outfit recommendations using your city location
• Respond to your support requests

We do not:

• Sell your personal data or wardrobe photos to advertisers or third parties
• Use your photos to train AI models without explicit consent
• Send unsolicited marketing without your opt-in

5. Data Storage and Security

• Your data is stored securely on Convex infrastructure.
• Clothing photos processed for virtual try-on by FASHN are automatically deleted from their servers after 72 hours.
• We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
• We do not store raw original photos after background removal is complete — only the processed transparent PNG is retained.
• We implement access controls to ensure only you can access your wardrobe data.

6. Data Retention

• Your account data and wardrobe photos are retained as long as your account is active.
• If you delete your account, all associated data including wardrobe photos and outfit history will be permanently deleted within 30 days.
• You can request deletion of specific items at any time from within the App.

7. Your Rights

Under applicable Indian data protection laws, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your wardrobe data (available via account settings)
• Withdraw consent for optional data processing at any time

8. Children's Privacy

Styrae is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

9. Location Data

We collect only city-level location data to provide weather-appropriate outfit suggestions. We do not track your precise GPS location in the background. Location access is requested only when the weather feature is active and can be disabled in your device settings.

10. Profile Photos for Virtual Try-On

• Your full-body photo used for virtual try-on is stored securely and linked only to your account.
• It is sent to FASHN's servers only when you actively request a virtual try-on.
• You can delete your try-on profile photo at any time from account settings.
• We do not use this photo for any purpose other than generating try-on results for you.

11. Cookies and Tracking

Our website uses minimal cookies for:

• Waitlist session management (Clerk)
• Anonymous analytics (to understand page traffic)

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the App or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
